Mæg is my (Simon Christophers) music and arts label, primarily I self-publish solo projects and collaborations present and past.

I was born in 1970 and grew up Chalfont St. Giles surrounded by the arts, a creative family and peers that led me to learn to express myself through music. And although my career path led me into graphic design, music is a vocation I love to pursue.

After many fun years collaborating with musical cohorts on original tracks, library music, producing, remixing or session playing, I looked to build a home for all the big ideas; the much-loved side projects and all the unfinished business, so I ventured into the digital release world via a State51 distribution deal – and christened by a cousin – Maeg Music was born.

I set a tenure for the venture: a 12 year life cycle to encompass regular releases on the 27th of the month, culminating in 4 revue compilations at 3 year intervals. No particular reason other than I prefer dividing time into fours and 27 is my favourite number. That was 2013 and its now my 11th year, theres still more to do so it could be I revise the remit…
